Wrap your OGG files into the lossless FLAC format, which stays smaller than WAV. The conversion runs locally in your browser with no upload.
In “Local” mode your file never leaves your device. No uploads, no server – ideal for sensitive recordings.
Pick “Local” for full privacy or “Server” for very large files and every format.
No sign-up, no queue, no watermark. Choose a file, convert, download.
No. OGG is lossy, and FLAC cannot recover detail that was already discarded. FLAC simply stores the current sound losslessly and efficiently.
FLAC is also lossless but compresses the data, so the file ends up much smaller than a WAV. That makes it handy for archiving.
It mainly makes sense if you want your library standardised on FLAC. It won't produce any real quality gain over the OGG source.
No. By default everything runs in your browser. Only very large files can optionally use the server mode.
